Autumn – Our favourite time of year, when the Home Farm Garden gives us a wonderful display of red, gold and russet colours. The maple tree bursts into a fiery red and slowly makes a thick carpet of leaves below it.
Our recent guests have had the benefit of picking the ripe plums and apples, and I’m sure there were plenty of blackberries to be found when walking through the nearby woods. Apple and blackberry crumble would be sure to be on the menu.
Autumn is a great time of year to visit. When there is a sunny day the beaches and town are a less busy but just as enticing and on the cooler mornings and afternoons a dip in the heated indoor pool is a perfect way to spend the time. And if its chilly in the evenings you can light the fire in the lounge and hunker down with a hot chocolate or a glass of red.
No wonder Autumn is our favourite time of year!
